Marrakech desert tours 3 days- 3 days Tour to Merzouga

Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou -Ouarzazate -Dades Valley.

In the 3 days trip from Marrakech to the desert, pick up at 8:00 AM at the hotel or Riad where you are staying in Marrakech or where you want.

We will leave towards the High Atlas crossing the port of Tizi N’Tichka making some stops with panoramic views. where you will make photos Visit the cooperative of Argan Oil, where we will discover the process of making this oil and we will explain the countless benefits it has for the human body,

Continue south, where later we turn off on a 6 km track that will take us to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou where we can visit the Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In this spectacular setting have been filmed films as renowned as Gladiator or the Jewel of the Nile … Lunch in the village.

Then continue to Ouarzazate, considered “the great gateway to the desert” and place from which depart the great expeditions and where highlights the Kasbah of Taourirt. We continue towards the Valley of the Roses, passing through the great palm grove of Skoura and Boumalne.

We will turn off at Boumalne de Dadès, to enjoy the “monkey fingers”.

Then we will arrive at our destination. Dinner and overnight in the Dadès Valley in hotel, breakfast and dinner.

Day 2 : Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga.

After breakfast, we will visit the spectacular Dades Gorges, enjoying the spectacular scenery that offers us the way to them. We will return to drive along a road dotted with Kasbah all different. After several stops, we will arrive at one of the strong points of the South, the Todra Gorges.

The Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions, up to 200m high, and of great beauty. It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Free lunch. We will continue to the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet. And passing through Erfoud and Rissani to reach the impressive Dunes of Merzouga, where we will have a tea of hospitality while we rest a little.

We will leave at the lodge the luggage and what we will not use in the desert and we will leave in a camel caravan that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune of the Erg Chebbi desert. During the ride, about an hour and a half, we can observe the beautiful sunset, the contrast of colors and enjoy the calm of the dunes.

We will arrive at the desert camp. We will taste an authentic Berber dinner and enjoy the music of the drums. We will sleep in a tent in the desert under the spectacular immense sky full of stars, breakfast and dinner.

Day 3 : Merzouga - Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech.

We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the spectacular sunrise on the dunes in the Sahara desert. Then we will return to Merzouga with the camels watching the spectacular scenery.

After breakfast and a shower at the hotel, we will start our return to Marrakech passing through different villages such as Alnif, Tazarine, Nkotb to reach Ouarzazate.

We will return by the same way, crossing the High Atlas, arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon / evening end of 3 days from Marrakech to the desert.

We were a group of friends and had little time, so we were able to modify the trip and do the desert of Merzouga in two days and one night, although it was a long way to get to the desert, it is absolutely worth it. When traveling to unfamiliar places you have a kind of fear, to know that what you are paying for will be met. In this case they exceeded all our expectations, everything was set up perfectly and with friendliness at all times. The hotel in Dades, a beauty, which transports you to live for a moment in a beautiful Riad. The Haimas in él deserts impeccable.
