Desert tour from Marrakech 4 days

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Dades Gorges.

In our 4 days tour from Marrakech to the desert. Pick up at 8:00 AM at the Hotel or Riad where you are staying in Marrakech. We will leave towards the High Atlas crossing the port of Tizi N’Tichka making some stops with panoramic views. We will make our way through numerous Berber nomadic villages that inhabit the area. We will continue towards Ouarzazate. We will cross the Valley of the Roses, to enter the Valley of Dadès, where begins the so-called “route of the thousand kasbahs. We will pass through the “monkey fingers”, a rocky landscape known as “the brain of the Atlas”. We will then arrive at our destination. Dinner and overnight in the Dadès Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga - Sahara Desert.

After breakfast, we will visit the spectacular Dades Gorges, enjoying the spectacular scenery that offers us the way to them. We will return to drive along a road dotted with Kasbah all of them different. We will arrive at one of the strong points of the South, the Todra Gorges.

The Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions, up to 200m high, and of great beauty. It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Free lunch. Then we will continue to the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet and passing through Erfoud to reach the impressive Dunes of Merzouga where we will take a tea of hospitality while resting a little.

We will leave at the lodge the luggage and what we will not use in the desert and we will leave in a camel caravan that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune of the Erg Chebbi desert. During the ride, about an hour and a half, we can observe the beautiful sunset, the contrast of colors and enjoy the calm of the dunes. We will arrive at the camp. We will taste an authentic Berber dinner and enjoy the music of the drums. We will sleep in a nomadic tents in the heart of the desert under the spectacular immense sky full of stars Dinner in the desert in tents.

Day 3: Merzouga -Rissani - Draa Valley -Ouarzazate.

We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the spectacular sunrise in the dunes of Merzouga . Then we will return to Merzouga with the camels watching the spectacular scenery.

After breakfast and a shower at the hotel, we will start our way. We will head to Rissani, where we will stroll through what is known as the most authentic and traditional souk in Morocco, and the largest in the south of the country, where all kinds of handicrafts, food and animals are traded. Continue to Ouarzazate, on the way you can contemplate the beauty of the Draa Valley and its thousands of palm trees. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will leave Ouarzazate. We will have the opportunity to visit a film studio. Then we will continue our way and we will be able to visit the fabulous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In this spectacular setting have been filmed films as renowned as Gladiator or the Jewel of the Nile, Babel …. Return to Marrakech, contemplating on the way the beauty of the mountains full of villages inhabited by Berbers. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon / evening end of 4 days from Marrakech to the desert.

We were a group of friends and had little time, so we were able to modify the trip and do the desert of Merzouga in two days and one night, although it was a long way to get to the desert, it is absolutely worth it. When traveling to unfamiliar places you have a kind of fear, to know that what you are paying for will be met. In this case they exceeded all our expectations, everything was set up perfectly and with friendliness at all times. The hotel in Dades, a beauty, which transports you to live for a moment in a beautiful Riad. The Haimas in él deserts impeccable. I would definitely recommend it to those who want to have an excellent experience with no surprises. We were 1 couple, 2 children and grandparents. Thank you for everything.
