5 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes.

After breakfast, departure from fez at 08:00 AM to Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can stop to feed the monkeys. We will continue to Midelt where we will have lunch.

Then we will follow the Ziz river through the valley and stop to see the gorges of the Ziz pasamor by erfoud arriving in the afternoon to Merzouga night in hotel in merzouga .

Day 2: Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Merzouga.

Today we will explore the desert region and the wonder that is the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes, where you will have the opportunity to see the nomadic way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert.

We will visit the “black village” of Khamlia to see the gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the afternoon we will ride the camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp.

We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the crescent moon in the amazing Sahara desert.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi - Rissani - Todra Gorges.

After having had breakfast, camel back to the hotel on the dune line for a quick shower. We leave the Sahara desertdunes of Erg Chebbi, drive off road through the hamada (black desert) to reach the town of Rissani Sahara, optional visit of the local animated market.

Afterwards, we head north towards Erfoud which is known for fossils; here we can stop to visit a fossil workshop before continuing to the impressive Todra Gorges, known for rock climbing, where you can walk before we check into the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Todra Gorges - Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate.

Breakfast at the hotel, we start our journey along the road of 1,000 thousand kasbahs, as there are huge kasbahs on both sides of the road.

Some of those old fortified houses are restored, but unfortunately many of them are ruins. We pass through Dades valley and climb into the mountainous area via an off-road track, where many Berber villages and few nomads living in caves, here we will have the opportunity to visit one of these families and take a look at their daily life and their main activity taking care of the herds of goats peep. We will be impressed by the landscapes of the pink colored valley before arriving in Skoura palm grove.

45 km further, we arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - High Atlas - Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah before departing to Ait Ben Haddou to visit the World Heritage Site. Continue with a visit to the traditional Berber High Atlas village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. After lunch at a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the port of Tizi-n-Tichka Marrakech end of 5 days trip from Fez to Marrakech.

We were a group of friends and had little time, so we were able to modify the trip and do the desert of Merzouga in two days and one night, although it was a long way to get to the desert, it is absolutely worth it. When traveling to unfamiliar places you have a kind of fear, to know that what you are paying for will be met. In this case they exceeded all our expectations, everything was set up perfectly and with friendliness at all times. The hotel in Dades, a beauty, which transports you to live for a moment in a beautiful Riad. The Haimas in él deserts impeccable. I would definitely recommend it to those who want to have an excellent experience with no surprises. We were 1 couple, 2 children and grandparents. Thank you for everything.
