4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes

Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas - Dades Gorges .

ravel from Marrakech to Fez ,Departure from Marrakech, in the morning at 08:00 AM, direction Dades Gorges. On the way we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the port of Tizi n’Tichka, making our way through numerous villages of nomadic Berbers who inhabit the area.

We will continue via Ouarzazate crossing the valley of Roses, to enter the Dades Gorges, where the so-called “route of the thousand kasbahs” begins. Overnight in Dades valley and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: The Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga.

Breakfast at the hotel. We head to the Todra Gorges, where you can take a pleasant walk between its imposing canyon walls of more than 200 meters high, until the exit to the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet. Arrival at the hotel at the foot of the dunes, where you can walk on the fine sand of Erg Chebbi, relax and enjoy this breathtaking scenery. In the evening, you will taste a delicious Moroccan dish. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Merzouga - Drive around the Erg Chebbi - Merzouga.

After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, we will get into the 4×4 to start our tour around the Erg Chebbi dunes, a region of the desert populated by sand: Among the numerous stops that await us, we will discover how and where the nomadic families of the area live, wild oasis in the middle of nowhere, spectacular landscapes and small desert villages, palm groves … Inevitable stop on our way through the village of Khamelia, of people originally from Mali, who will make us enjoy a nice concert of Gnawa music, while we savor a delicious tea.

On the way back to the hotel, our camels will be waiting for us to set off on a route of an hour and a half, making our way through the dunes, until we reach the heart of the desert to contemplate the beautiful sunset. Tucked by the Great Dune, and enjoying the music of the drums, dinner and Moroccan tea, you can contemplate the immense sky of stars and sleep in tents in the Sahara desert camp.

Day 4 : Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Fez :

Early in the morning, after watching the beautiful sunrise over the dunes, return by camel to the hotel. After breakfast, departure to the vast palm grove of Tafilalet passing through the city of Rissani (the Alaouite dynasty and the capital of the ancient Alaouite sultans).

Then we will take the road to Fes passing through the beautiful valley of Ziz, Errachidia, Midelt to the cedar forest where we will stop to visit the famous “Gouraud” cedar.

We will continue our way through the middle Atlas until we reach Fes in the afternoon, the intellectual and historical capital of Morocco, divided into 3 parts: Fes el bali (the old town), the new part built during the French protectorate and the Jewish quarter.

Fes has a beautiful medina with its impressive gates and ramparts, palaces…etc to arrive in the afternoon end of Marrakech to Fez – Route from Marrakech 4 days desert Fez.

We were a group of friends and had little time, so we were able to modify the trip and do the desert of Merzouga in two days and one night, although it was a long way to get to the desert, it is absolutely worth it. When traveling to unfamiliar places you have a kind of fear, to know that what you are paying for will be met. In this case they exceeded all our expectations, everything was set up perfectly and with friendliness at all times. The hotel in Dades, a beauty, which transports you to live for a moment in a beautiful Riad. The Haimas in él deserts impeccable. I would definitely recommend it to those who want to have an excellent experience with no surprises. We were 1 couple, 2 children and grandparents. Thank you for everything.
