4 days tour Desert from Ouarzazate- Camel tours

Day 1: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Skoura, Kasbah Amridil - Valley of Roses- Dades Valley

We will start this route from the agreed place in Ouarzazate.4 days from Ouarzazate to the Sahara Desert, The first visit will be the visit to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village of the thirteenth century declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A place of great beauty as we will see when strolling through its narrow streets. As a curious fact, in this place have been filmed movies like Gladiator, Sahara or Kingdom of Heaven. Continuation of the journey to the oasis of Skoura, where we will visit the kasbah of Amridil, a kasbah in perfect condition where we will learn the meaning and use of these buildings. Now the route of the thousand kasbahs and the Valley of the Roses will bring us closer to the gorges of the Dades river with its spectacular orography. Dinner and overnight at Riad / hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Trafaoute - Ramlia - Desert of Ouzina

After breakfast, departure from the Dades Valley to the Todra Gorges. The Todra Gorges form a valley of about 14 km. long, in its last stretch we will take a walk to enjoy its formations and steep walls.
Now we will go south, we will link with the old track of the Paris Dakar Rally to reach the village of Ramlia to reach the desert of Ouzina. Ouzina is a Berber village in a spectacular setting very close to the Algerian border.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ouzina desert - Merzouga desert.

After breakfast, visit the village of Ouzina, visit the common oven, the village orchards, etc.. Then we will try to locate an authentic nomad family that moves along the desert looking for food for their animals, we will have tea with them and enjoy their lives so different from ours and that will make us know the culture of nomads and how they live in the desert. After this visit we will go to Erg Chebbi in the desert of Merzouga with the 4×4 again on the old track of the Paris Dakar Rally.

Before reaching the village of Merzouga we will pass through the village of Khamlia, the village of the original black people of southern Africa, there we will have lunch with “Pizza Berber” and listen to spiritual Gnawa music. Dromedaries will drive us to our tented camp while we enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the great dunes of Erg Chebbi during the ride.

After a delicious dinner, you will have the opportunity to attend a traditional Berber music show while watching the firmament in the stunning Sahara desert. Night in a fully equipped traditional nomad tent.

Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Nkob - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate

Today the early risers can enjoy a spectacular sunrise in the desert. This day we will get up early to see the sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we will start our way back to Ouarzazate through Rissani, the origin of the Alawite dynasty that reigns Morocco. We will then drive through the Berber villages of Alnif and N’Kob and through the Draa Valley to Agdez, where we will have lunch. Then we will continue the excursion to Merzouga. We will arrive in Ouarzazate late afternoon it is also possible to arrive in time to take your flight.

We were a group of friends and had little time, so we were able to modify the trip and do the desert of Merzouga in two days and one night, although it was a long way to get to the desert, it is absolutely worth it. When traveling to unfamiliar places you have a kind of fear, to know that what you are paying for will be met. In this case they exceeded all our expectations, everything was set up perfectly and with friendliness at all times. The hotel in Dades, a beauty, which transports you to live for a moment in a beautiful Riad. The Haimas in él deserts impeccable.
