2 days desert tour from Fes to Merzouga

Day 1: Fes - Medilt - Azrou - Ziz Valley - Merzouga - Camel ride and a night in the desert.

What to do in Fez in two days ,After breakfast in your hotel in Fez or Riad we leave Fez towards the desert of Merzouga, passing through Ifrane, we reach the forests of Azrou where there are wild monkeys. It will be a good opportunity to take pictures of Moroccan nature. We will have lunch in the Berber village of Zaida.

We will continue through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscape of Medilt until we reach the small village of Rich, Erfoud, where we begin to feel the air of the Sahara with the oasis of Tafilalet.

We will continue to Merzouga, after relaxing a bit… we will go on camels to spend a night in the desert. We will spend a night in the haimas in the Berber camp.

Day 2 : Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Fez .

Early morning after watching the beautiful sunrise over the dunes, return by camel to the hostel. After breakfast, departure to the vast palm grove of Tafilalet passing through the city of Rissani (the Alaouite dynasty and the capital of the ancient Alaouite sultans). Then we will take the road to Fes passing through the beautiful valley of Ziz, Errachidia, Midelt to the cedar forest where we will stop to visit the famous cedar of ” Gouraud “.

We will continue our way through the middle Atlas to reach Fes in the afternoon, the intellectual and historical capital of Morocco, divided into 3 parts: Fes el bali (the old town), the new part built during the French protectorate and the Jewish quarter. We were a group of friends and had little time, so we were able to modify the trip and do the desert of Merzouga in two days and one night, although it was a long way to get to the desert, it is absolutely worth it. In this case they exceeded all our expectations, everything was set up perfectly and with friendliness at all times. The hotel in Dades, a beauty, which transports you to live for a moment in a beautiful Riad. The Haimas in él deserts impeccable.
