Day 1: Tangier - Tetouan - Chefchaouen
Arrival at the port/airport of Tangier and pick up by our staff. Departure to Chefchaouen and if time permits, stop in the Spanish city of Tetouan. Arrival in Chefchaouen, transfer to your hotel and free time in its streets, its old blue and white houses and its panoramic views. Overnight and breakfast in a charming riad.
Day 2: Chaouen - Roman ruins - Meknès-Fez
Departure to Fez, where we will border the Rif forest to reach the Roman ruins of the city of Volubilis. Visit the ruins with local guide “optional” and then continue to Meknes, a city that reached its apogee thanks to the Sultan Mulay Ismail. Visit its mausoleum and the famous Bab Mansour gate. After the visit we will go to our destination, Fez. Arrival in Fez and free time. Night in a charming riad.
Day 3: Fez -Fez
After breakfast, guided tour of the city. Full day dedicated to the discovery of the intellectual city of the kingdom. Numerous are the monuments that you will be able to visit: Medersas (Koranic schools), Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin, Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (first university in the world). Free time and night in a charming riad.
Day 4: Fez - Ifrane-Azrou-Monkey forest-Erfoud-Merzouga desert.
From Fez we will go to the Middle Atlas stopping in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next village will be Azrou passing through the national park known for its cedars where the famous monkeys of the area are found. Then we will travel through the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils.
Arrival in the desert where we change the 4×4 for camels, with which we will take a pleasant two-hour ride through the dunes to reach the haima camp, in the heart of the desert where we will be greeted, according to the tradition of the Sahara, with a Berber tea. Night in haimas under the desert stars.
Day 5: Desert - Visit nomads - Black village - Erg Chebbi desert.
After breakfast, we will return on camels to the hotel where we will shower and then begin our fourth day of travel in Morocco. We will go to Rissani, known for one of the most authentic markets in southern Morocco and little frequented by tourists, where we can find even a parking lot of donkeys and nomads who come to stock up. After this visit, we will go to the Todra Gorges, famous for its towering walls where climbers come from all over the world. We visit the gorges and continue our tour to the Dades Valley and then connect with the Valley of Roses and the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs. We will discover the kasbahs in the middle of this valley and then we will go to Ouarzazate, also the Hollywood of Morocco.
Transfer to the hotel and overnight in a charming riad.
Day 6: Merzouga Dunes - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley - Ouarzazate.
The sixth day will be devoted entirely to enjoy the desert. We will cross the dunes in the 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oasis and ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit the famous village of Khamlia and enjoy its folkloric music. At sunset we will take camels that will take us to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 7: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou-Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit the kasbah of Taourirt and after 25 km of road we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, famous for being the scene of film blockbusters like the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Sheltering Sky” or “Babel”. We will follow the road that, crossing the Tichka pass, will lead us back to the “Red City”: Marrakech.
Upon arrival we will be dropped off at the hotel. Free afternoon and night in a charming riad.
Day 8: Marrakech- Marrakech
After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the city. Numerous are the monuments that you can visit: Ben Youssef Madrasa, Bahia Palace, Yamaa el Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, souks and the Koutoubia Mosque. Free afternoon and night in a charming riad.
Day 9: Marrakech-Essaouira
After breakfast, we will be picked up by our private transport at the agreed place and we will start our trip to the Atlantic coast, heading to Essaouira, the ancient Mogador. On the way we will cross immense Argan forests, where the precious Argan oil is extracted and we will be able to see its elaboration in one of the existing cooperatives. This town was an ancient Portuguese citadel and behind its walls, there are many picturesque corners full of history, which you can begin to discover yourselves, as soon as you arrive.
Free day in Essaouira. You can choose from a wide and varied range of activities offered on the beaches of the city. There is the possibility of touring the beach on horseback, dromedary, quad or if you like walking, take a long walk along the shores of the Atlantic. Reach its coastal dunes or sunbathe. It also offers a wide range of water sports such as kite surfing, wind surfing or surfing itself, jet skis, etc ….
If you choose to walk the streets of the medina, you will find many stores, artisans and artists who offer their works at a good price. Also famous for its fishing port, you can taste the excellent fish and seafood that is extracted from its shores. Free afternoon and night in a riad.
Day 10: Essaouira - Marrakech Airport
Free day and at the agreed time, transfer to Marrakech airport.
