Day trip from Fez to Meknes and Volubilis

In the morning, around 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your destination in Fez. First, we will visit the ancient city of Volubilis. These are the remarkably well-preserved ruins of the Roman Empire, containing countless incredible pillars, arches, and mosaics. After that, we will head to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco. We will begin by visiting the famous Bab Mansour gate, built by Sultan Ismail. You will also have the opportunity to walk around and explore the square in front of the gate, called El Hdim. We will also visit the old royal granary and stables, the Sahrij Souani, and Qara, the underground prison. There are many stories about Qara prison; all those who entered it were lost and never returned. After visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, we will return to Fez. When we arrive there, we will drop you off at your accommodation; this is the end of our day trip to Meknes from Fez.
