5-day Morocco tour From Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

We begin our adventure at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech. We will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass (2,260m). Our first stop is the historic Kasbah of Telouet, the former residence of Pasha Glaoui. After lunch, we will travel through the picturesque Ounila Valley to reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We end the day in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Valley of the Roses – Dades & Todra Gorges

After breakfast, we depart for the Skoura palm grove to visit the Kasbah of Amredil, a jewel of the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We continue through the Valley of the Roses, exploring paths that allow us to meet nomadic families living in caves. After admiring the rock formations of Dades and having lunch in Boulmane du Dades, we head to the breathtaking Todra Gorges to walk among its towering canyons.

Day 3: Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Today the landscape transforms as we approach the Sahara. We will pass through the Berber villages of Tinjdad and Jorf, arriving in Erfoud, the gateway to the desert and center of the Tafilalet oasis. We continue toward Merzouga, where the magic of the dunes begins.

• Accommodation: Hotel at the foot of the dunes in Merzouga.

Day 4: Desert Exploration & Night in a Berber Camp

We will spend the day exploring the desert in a 4×4. We’ll visit the Merzouga oasis, the village of Khamlia (famous for its Gnawa music), the Miffis mines, and share a moment with local nomads. In the afternoon, we trade the engine for the peace of camels to cross the dunes while watching the sunset.

• Accommodation: Dinner and a magical night in a camp of traditional tents (haimas) under the stars.

Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Fes

We recommend waking up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After returning to Merzouga by camel and having breakfast, we begin the journey north. We will enjoy views of the Ziz Valley and the Atlas forests, arriving in the imperial city of Fes in the afternoon, where our 5-day tour concludes.
