- Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Dadès Gorges

On our 4-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will pick you up at 8:00 AM at your hotel or riad in Marrakech.

We will set off towards the High Atlas, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, where we will make several stops to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views.

We will continue our journey through Berber villages inhabited by nomads from the region and continue on our way to Ouarzazate.

We will then cross the Valley of Roses to enter the Dadès Valley, where the famous Route of a Thousand Kasbahs begins. We will pass through the area known as the “Monkey Fingers”, an impressive rocky landscape also called “the brain of the Atlas”.

Arrival in the Dadès Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in the Dadès Valley.

Day 2: Dadès Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we will visit the spectacular Dadès Gorges, enjoying the incredible scenery along the way.

We will return to the road, surrounded by ancient kasbahs and traditional villages, until we reach one of the most impressive places in southern Morocco: the Todra Gorges.

The riverbed has formed an impressive gorge with vertical walls up to 200 meters high, considered a paradise for climbers and a unique place in the world.

Free time for lunch.

We will continue towards the desert, passing through the Tafilalet palm grove and Erfoud, until we reach the majestic Merzouga Dunes, where we will be welcomed with a welcome tea.

We will leave the luggage we won’t need in the desert at the hostel and set off in a caravan of dromedaries to the camp, a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which we will enjoy the sunset over the dunes and the contrasting colors of the Sahara.

Arrival at the camp among the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will enjoy an authentic Berber dinner accompanied by drum music under the starry desert sky.

Night in traditional tents in the heart of the Sahara.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

We will wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga.

We will return to the lodge on camels while enjoying the desert landscape. After breakfast and a shower, we will resume our journey to Rissani, where we will visit its traditional souk, considered the most authentic in southern Morocco.

We will continue our journey through the Draa Valley, surrounded by thousands of palm trees and beautiful landscapes.

Arrival in Ouarzazate.
Dinner and hotel accommodation.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
