3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes-Medilt-Azrou-Ziz Valley-Merzouga-Camel ride and a night in the desert.

On the third day from Fez to Marrakech, after breakfast we leave Fez for Merzouga, passing through Ifrane, arriving at the forests of Azrou where there are wild monkeys. It will be a good opportunity to take photos of Moroccan nature. We will have lunch in the Berber village of Zaida.

We will continue through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the scenery of Medilt until we reach the small village of Rich, Erfoud, where we begin to feel the air of the Sahara with the oasis of Tafilalet.

We will continue on to Merzouga, and after relaxing a little, we will ride camels to spend a night in the desert. We will spend a night in the tents of the Berber nomads at the camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Dades – Ouarzazate.

After watching the sunrise over the desert, we will return to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast and a shower at the hotel, we will begin our journey to Ouarzazate. Along the way, we will visit Berber villages and the Todra Gorges, then pass through Dades, the Valley of Roses, Skoura, and arrive in Ouarzazate in the evening at our hotel.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech.

Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning, we will visit the UNESCO-protected site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. Many films have been shot here, including Gladiator.

Later, we will leave Ait Ben Haddou and head towards the majestic Atlas Mountains.

We will cross the High Atlas Mountains via Morocco’s highest mountain pass, Tizi-n-Tichka, at 2,260 meters, where we can enjoy views of the valleys, mountains, and Berber villages. We will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, at the end of our three-day journey from Fez to Marrakech.
