2-Day Zagora Desert Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Our Zagora Desert Excursion begins after breakfast. We depart toward the Zagora desert, traveling through the High Atlas Mountains and crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. We will stop to visit the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (where lunch will be served).

Afterward, we continue our journey south across the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing through the Berber village of Agdz and the lush Draa Valley. We will arrive around 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM, where we trade the 4×4 for dromedaries (camels) to trek into the dunes and witness a stunning sunset. We will spend the night in a traditional jaima (nomadic tent) in the Zagora desert, with dinner served at the camp.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we return to our 4×4 and head toward Ouarzazate. Our route takes us back through the majestic Atlas Mountains and the wonderful Draa Valley. Once in Ouarzazate, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. We will arrive back in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of our 2-day Zagora Desert Excursion.
