3-Day Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour

Day 1 Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait ben Haddou – Dades Gorges.

3-day trip from Marrakech to Fez. Departure from Marrakech in the morning, heading for the Dades Gorges. On the way, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and winding our way through numerous villages inhabited by Berber nomads. We will continue via the kasbah of Ait ben Haddou (famous for being the location where several films were shot, including Babel, Obelix, and Gladiator).

We will continue on to Ouarzazate, visit the kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, cross the Valley of Roses, and enter the Dades Gorges, where the so-called “route of a thousand kasbahs” begins. Accommodation in the Dades Valley and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 The Dades Gorges – The Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga.

Breakfast at the hotel. We head to the Todra Gorges, where you can enjoy a pleasant walk through the imposing canyon with walls over 300 meters high, until you reach the desert via the Tafilalet palm grove.

Arrival at the hotel at the foot of the dunes, where you can walk on the fine sand of Erg Chebbi and enjoy this impressive landscape. You will leave your luggage in your hotel room.

and ride camels to campsites, where you can gaze at the immense starry sky and sleep in nomadic tents while enjoying the music of drums, dinner, and Moroccan tea. Night in the desert.

Day 3 Merzouga – Rissani – Errachidia – Azrou – Fez.

After returning with the dromedaries and showering, we set off for Rissani, Morocco’s first imperial city. Then we passed through Erfoud, a town where everything related to fossils is centered.

We will pass through the Ziz Valley with its panoramic views of palm groves and gorges. Once past the Tizi-n-Talghomt pass, we will then pass through Ifrane (known as the Moroccan Switzerland) and arrive in Fez, the cultural capital of Morocco. We will arrive in Fez in the afternoon.
