- Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Dades Gorges

Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 AM, heading toward the Dades Gorges. On the way, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, making our way through numerous Berber nomad villages that inhabit the area.

We will continue via Ouarzazate, crossing the Valley of the Roses to enter the Dades Gorges, where the famous “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs” begins. Overnight stay and dinner at a hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Breakfast at the hotel. We head to the Todra Gorges, where you can take a pleasant walk through the towering canyon with walls over 200 meters high. We then continue toward the desert through the Tafilalet palm grove. Arrival at the hotel located at the foot of the dunes, where you can walk along the fine sand of Erg Chebbi, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking landscape. In the evening, you will savor a delicious Moroccan dish. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga – Tour of Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, we will board a 4×4 to begin our tour around the Erg Chebbi dunes. Among the many stops that await us, we will discover how and where nomadic families live, wild oases in the middle of nowhere, spectacular landscapes, small desert villages, and palm groves.

We will make an essential stop in the village of Khamelia, home to people originally from Mali, who will treat us to a beautiful concert of Gnawa music while we enjoy a delicious tea. Upon returning to the hotel, our camels will be waiting to take us on a 90-minute trek through the dunes to the heart of the desert to watch the sunset. Sheltered by the Great Dune, you will enjoy drum music, dinner, and Moroccan tea under a vast starry sky, sleeping in traditional tents (jaimas) at a Sahara Desert camp.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Fes

Early in the morning, after watching the beautiful sunrise over the dunes, we return to the hotel by camel. After breakfast, we depart for the vast Tafilalet palm grove, passing through the city of Rissani (the origin of the Alaouite dynasty and the capital of the former Alaouite sultans).

We will then take the road to Fes, passing through the beautiful Ziz Valley, Errachidia, and Midelt until we reach the cedar forest, where we will stop to visit the famous “Gouraud Cedar.” We continue across the Middle Atlas to arrive in Fes in the afternoon. Fes is the intellectual and historical capital of Morocco, divided into three parts: Fes el Bali (the old city), the new part built during the French protectorate, and the Jewish quarter. Fes boasts a beautiful medina with impressive gates, walls, and palaces.
